Der RegioFlink funktioniert ohne festen Fahr- und Linienplan. Ein Algorithmus plant die Route, um KundInnen, die in die gleiche Richtung mochten in einem Fahrzeug zu bundeln. Die KundInnen konnen dabei an verschiedenen Orten innerhalb des Gemeindegebietes Jenbach ein bzw. aussteigen. Die KundInnen werden an virtuellen Haltepunkten eingesammelt und abgesetzt, d.h. es erfolgt keine Tur-zu-Tur Fahrt. Die Haltepunkte liegen im Durchschnitt 200 Meter von ihrem Start-/Zielort entfernt. Ziel des RegioFlink ist, die zeitlichen und raumlichen OPNV Lucken zu fullen und ein first & last mile Angebot zu schaffen, dass den bestehenden OPNV starkt.
