After qualification, the selected ARP's will be invited on regular base to participate to an auction where a competition will be organised for the supply of a predefined quantity of energy. The auctioned products will be Calender, Quarter and Month products and the prices will be dealed in the OTC 'Over the Counter' market. Yearly, Elia is going to auction a total quantity of around 500 GWh usually in blocks of minimum 5 MW. Of the total quantity, +/- 95 % is auctioned in base load and +/- 5 % is auctioned in peakload. A party approved by Elia as an 'Access Responsible Party' or 'ARP' is a party validly holding an 'Access Responsibility Contract'. This party can be a supplier, a consumer or a third party. The Access Responsibility Contract mainly concerns the balancing responsibilities of an ARP on the network.Awards
