The programme will be implemented in the period 2011 to 2015.The objective of the programme is to provide executive training to around 180 EU company executives during 3 successive 48-week training cycles in the European Union, in Japan and the Republic of Korea, in order to strengthen the participants' knowledge about the target markets and to teach them the particularities of the language and business culture in Japan and the Republic of Korea.The executive training programme is managed and financed by the European Commission; it will be implemented by 4 contractors:Lot 1: a Central Management Unit (CMU) will be in charge of the administrative management of the programme, of the promotion and recruitment for the programme, of the implementation of an assessment centre, and of logistic support to the education providers and the participants in the programme.Lot 2: an education provider in the European Union will be in charge of the development and implementation of a comprehensive curriculum focused on an introduction to the history and culture of Japan and of the Korean peninsula from a European perspective as well as on the business practices regarding the development of business strategies and plans for Asia.Lot 3: an education provider in Japan will be in charge of the development and implementation of a language and a business and management training programme. This contractor shall furthermore complement the training with internships for the participants in Japanese companies.Lot 4: an education provider in the Republic of Korea will be in charge of the development and implementation of a language and a business and management training programme.
