This is achieved by researching the priorities and interests of British news editors and political correspondents in respect of the activities of the European Parliament, and making available to them relevant broadcast material of the highest professional standard whilst at all times respecting the editorial independence of news editors and political correspondents. Suitable regional and political balance must also be maintained. The European Parliament Information Office in the United Kingdom (hereinafter 'the UK Office') will manage the framework contracts, provide the contractor with ongoing updates on the activities and priorities of the European Parliament, issue order forms, receive activity reports, and review the impact of the service. Under these framework contracts, the European Parliament may purchase audiovisual services for the production of broadcast-quality TV and radio material concerning topics of relevance to the European Union and the activities of the European Parliament and consistent with British news editors' priorities and interests. Material of equivalent quality may also be produced for new or online media.
