The intention is to select a range of specialised contractors (or consortia led by a main contractor), most suited for delivery of the wide variety of specialised support services sought. The Directorate-General for the Information Society and Media (henceforth referred to as DG-INFSO) seeks to enhance and extend its own capacity for conceiving, planning, coordinating, and implementing its information and communications activities, as well as its capacity to follow up on and to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of these. Services provided as a result of this call may in principle be delivered to any Directorate-General of the Commission. In contracting and utilising such external support, the Commission service directly responsible for an initiative will in all cases perform the day-to-day coordination necessary for every output being produced on its behalf, by the contractors.Awards
