These are needed for future stress corrosion cracking (SCC) testing of pre-irradiated specimens at the NRG hot cell facilities, for cone segment mandrel test devices used up to supercritical water reactors (SCWRs) environmental conditions and lead-cooled fast reactors (LFR). In 2014, the JRC-IET is also planning to procure a HLMEF (heavy liquid metal experimental facility) for conducting pre-normative material testing inside realistic HLM environments. The facility must allow performing high-quality, material-coolant interaction tests of candidate structural materials for HLM-cooled fast reactors and HLM energy storage applications at temperatures up to 650 degC.In order to build, install and incorporate such devices into existing and future autoclave facilities (henceforth, singular/plural, 'the equipment') at the JRC-IET and to perform first qualification tests together with proper training of operators, a new framework service contract is needed.Already in 2012, under contract 109980, designs, including all details for the abovementioned loading devices were prepared by the Finnish company PneMo, which holds the patent rights to such loading devices (WO99/13315).Now, the JRC-IET intends to award a framework service contract (hereinafter 'the contract') on consultancy (advice, supervision and control) of the manufacturing, assembling, commissioning and modification of such equipment including the design and modification of control software based on Moog axis control software (MACS).Awards
