Sen keskeiset tavoitteet ovat:-- saada sijoitetuksi kaikki tarvittava henkilokunta joustavasti samaan rakennukseen,-- tehda muuntojoustavaa ja viihtyisaa tyoymparistoa tuleviin, vaihteleviin tarpeisiin,-- auttaa luomaan edellytyksia viraston hyvaan ja muuttuvaan toimintakulttuuriin (virikkeet, joustavuus, yhteisollisyys, neuvottelut, vuorovaikutus, tiedonkulku),-- saattaa tilojen talo- ja tietoliikennetekniikka ajanmukaiselle tasolle vastaamaan nykyhetken ja tulevaisuuden tarpeita,-- parantaa rakennuksen turvallisuutta (palo-, murto- ja tietoturvallisuus) kulunvalvonta- ja halytysjarjestelmilla, kameravalvonnalla ja lukitusjarjestelyilla.Perusparannettavan alueen yhteenlaskettu bruttopinta-ala on n. 5 600 brm2.Rakennuspaikka on Tampere, Aleksis Kiven katu 14-16.Hankkeen kaikki urakat kilpailutetaan kahdessa eri vaiheessa. 1. vaihe kasittaa 4. kerroksen ja 2. vaihe 3. ja 2. kerrokset. Urakkamuotona tulee olemaan jaettu urakka, jossa paaurakoitsijana toimii rakennusurakoitsija.
