La commande qui sera passee au titre du 1% devra s'integrer dans un ensemble architectural fini. La realisation artistique devra tenir compte du lieu, sujet aux seismes. Le projet architectural s'articule autour d'un socle commun revetu de pierre volcanique d'ou s'elevent deux tours blanches. La tour de l'ambassade, plus confidentielle, est entouree d'une seconde peau metallique tandis que celle de l'institut francais, plus affirmee, s'avance sur l'esplanade ou s'organiseront receptions et spectacles. l'intervention artistique se situera au niveau du hall double hauteur de l'ambassade. L'oeuvre realisee devra, en dialogue avec l'architecture, etre une intervention de mise en lumiere visible en tant qu'oeuvre d'art. l'implantation a l'interieur du hall reste libre (plafond, gardes corps, parois laterales, sol...). La mise en lumiere pourra etre completee pour les besoins d'usage (niveau d'eclairement suffisant) par des luminaires qui seront a la charge du projet architectural. La presence de l'installation devra etre suffisamment forte (intensite lumineuse / echelle / contraste ...) pour caracteriser le hallAwards
