Cette operation participe a la creation d'un pole scientifique <<Geosciences, Eau et Environnement, Ingenierie>>, designe par le sigle G2ei. L'Extension du batiment occupe par l'EOST permettra le regroupement geographique de differentes entites de recherche relatives aux sciences de l'ingenieur. La construction neuve envisagee en complement du batiment existant, abritera les locaux de recherche les plus pointus (salles blanches, laboratoires de chimie, laboratoires de geophysique experimentale, plateformes techniques), les locaux logistiques necessaires au travail de terrain des chercheurs, ainsi qu'une petite partie des locaux tertiaires du pole. Le nouveau batiment s'inscrira dans le prolongement du batiment actuel, a l'entree ouest du campus. Le batiment represente une surface utile previsionnelle d'environ 3 530 m2, repartis sur 7 niveaux, dont 1 en dessous du niveau de la chaussee de la rue du General Zimmer.Awards
