Nach uber 50 Jahren Nutzung ist der gesamte Komplex Modernisierungsbedurftig. Im Rahmen einer europaweiten Ausschreibung wurde in einem ersten Schritt das Planungsteam zusammengestellt. Als besondere Anforderung des Tragers wurde die Modernisierung und Erweiterung im laufenden Betrieb formuliert. Fur dieses Logistische Problem wurde eine tragfahige Losung erarbeitet und das Bauprojekt in 2 Bauphasen unterteilt:Im 1.BA vom Mai 2019 bis Februar 2021 wurde im Bereich des abgebrochenen Verbindungsbaus ein Neubau (Erweiterungsbau) mit 109 Pflegeplatzen und einem Erdgeschossteil mit Funktionsraumen errichtet (Querbaukorper Mitte, fertiggestellt).Im 2. BA vom Marz 2021 bis Dezember 2022 soll der Bestandsbaukorper auf den Rohbau zuruckgebaut, um einen Saal erweitert und umfassend saniert werden.Awards
