Teile des denkmalgeschutzten Gebaudes wurden 1890 erbaut, seit 2000 findet eine Nutzung als Bibliothek statt. Es sollen Architektenleistungen fur die Sanierung und den Umbau der bestehenden Bibliothek vergeben werden. Das Dach des Gebaudes ist baufallig und muss saniert werden. Die bisher ungenutzten Teile des Dachgeschosses werden ausgebaut. Das Gebaude ist energetisch zu sanieren, haustechnische Anlagen werden erneuert. Die Flache der Bibliothek ist neu zu strukturieren, das Raumkonzept an veranderte Anforderungen anzupassen. Daneben ist die Erschliessung zu verbessern, u.a. durch einen zusatzlichen Zugang zur Kinder- und Jugendbibliothek, der Eingangsbereich ist umzugestalten. Es ist ein Ubergang zum angrenzenden Gebaude der Volkshochschule zu schaffen, um die gemeinsame Nutzung von Seminarraumen zu ermoglichen.Awards
