Die Schule wurde 1914 als 5. Burgerschule errichtet und gehort zu den Kulturdenkmalen der Stadt Leipzig. Aufgrund der in den letzten Jahren stark gestiegenen Schulerzahlen sind die raumlichen Voraussetzungen den jetzigen Nutzungsanforderungen anzupassen. Dies betrifft insbesondere die Speiseversorgung, hierfur wurde in 2018 eine Machbarkeitsstudie erstellt (LP 2 Vorplanung). Zukunftig sollen Ausgabekuche, Speisesaal, Werkenraum incl. Nebenraume, Sanitarraume sowie Technik-, Hausmeister- und Abstellraume im Untergeschoss untergebracht werden.Die Freiflachen sind mit der parallel notwendigen Grundleitungserneuerung zu ertuchtigen.Die Terminplanung sieht einen Baubeginn Mitte 2021 und die Fertigstellung Mitte 2022 vor.Fur das Bauvorhaben steht derzeit ein Budget von 3,1 Mio. EUR brutto (KG 200-700) zu Verfugung.Awards
