Anhand eine Planungswettbewerbes wurde bereits im Januar 2020 ein Konzept erstellt (siehe Anlage). Sobald die Erstellung der neuen Sporthalle abgeschlossen ist, soll die bestehende Dreifeldsporthalle (27 x 45 m, 1980er Jahre) saniert werden. Sudlich der bestehenden Sporthalle befindet sich der dazugehorige Sportplatz.Die beiden Sporthallen sollen uber das Foyer verbunden sein. Das Gebaudeensemble wird von Norden uber die Westerkappelner Strasse erschlossen. Fur das neu zu errichtende Foyer wird ein kleiner Teilbereich der bestehenden Sporthalle abgerissen.Awards
