Diese resultieren aus der ehemaligen Nutzung des Gelandes als Gaswerk sowie als Farbenfabrik. Im Zuge umfangreicher Sanierungsmassnahmen wird seit 1997 eine Wasseraufbereitungsanlage auf dem stadtischen Bauhof Muhlheim betrieben. Diese ist Eigentum der HIM und reinigt etwa 15 m3 arsenhaltiges Grundwasser pro Stunde aus sechs Brunnen im Mainvorland im vollkontinuierlichen Betrieb. Die Einleitung des gereinigten Wassers erfolgt in den Main. Die HIM hat den Betrieb der Grundwasseraufbereitungsanlage an ein externes Fachunternehmen vergeben. Der Vertrag mit dem aktuellen Betreiber endet im November 2017. Die HIM hat sich dazu entschlossen, die Leistungen fur den Betrieb der Abwasserbehandlungsanlage ab 1.12.2017 bis zum 30.11.2020 im Rahmen einer EU-weiten Ausschreibung neu zu vergeben.Awards
