Der DAAD als offentlicher Auftraggeber vergibt die Organisation und Vor-Ort-Durchfuhrung von Auslandsveranstaltungen an ein international agierendes Tagungsburo. Die Veranstaltungen konnen, mussen aber nicht, mit Unterstutzung einer DAAD Aussenstelle oder eines Informationszentrums (IC) durchgefuhrt werden. Der Bedarf des DAAD kann weltweit bestehen. Die Mehrzahl der Veranstaltungen wird aber in den in der OECD-DAC-Liste (http://www.bmz.de/de/zentrales_downloadarchiv/Ministerium/ODA/DAC_Laenderliste_Berichtsjahre_2014_2016.pdf) gefuhrten Entwicklungslandern in Afrika, Nahem Osten, Asien und Lateinamerika durchgefuhrt werden mussen. Umfangreiche Sprachkenntnisse auch uber Englisch hinaus sind als Grundvoraussetzung zu betrachten. In Ausnahmefallen konnen auch Veranstaltungen in Deutschland - komplett oder fur partielle Leistungen - fur ein internationales Publikum in Auftrag gegeben werden. Interkulturelle Sensibilitat des Tagungsburopersonals fur unterschiedliche Zielgruppen und diplomatische Kommunikation wird erwartet. Die Veranstaltungsformate konnen von kleineren Workshops (z. B. 30 Teilnehmer uber 3-5 Tage) bis hin zu grossen Konferenzen mit etwa 150 Teilnehmern aus unterschiedlichen Landern reichen. Zielgruppen konnen Studierende, Hochschulangehorige und Mitarbeiter von Ministerien sein. Unterschiedliche hierarchische Ebenen konnen vertreten sein. Mindestens eine Veranstaltung im Jahr ist geplant. Geplant ist ein Workshop fur insgesamt 35 Teilnehmer (1 Woche im Dezember 2016) in Kamerun. In 2017 ist die teilweise Ubernahme von Veranstaltungsorganisation (Reisebuchungen / Teilnehmermanagement) fur eine in Deutschland stattfindende dreitagige Konferenz mit ca. 150 Teilnehmern geplant. Daruberhinausgehende vergleichbare Veranstaltungen sind denkbar, konnen derzeit aber noch nicht abschliessend prognostiziert werden.Awards
