Aktuelle Messungen haben gezeigt, dass die Data Domain an ihre Kapazitatsgrenzen gelangt sind und die Performance zukunftigen Anforderungen nicht weiter genugt. Aufgrund von Wachstum im Sicherungsvolumen ist zudem eine Erweiterung der NetWorker Lizenzen erforderlich. Der Weiterbetrieb der NetWorker-Umgebung ist erforderlich, da die bestehenden Data Domains und die NetWorker Lizenzen weiter genutzt werden, die Data Domain DD890 (187 TB) und DD860 (140 TB) einer technischen Erneuerung unterzogen und die NetWorker Lizenzen auf das notige Mass erweitert werden. Eine Neubeschaffung samtlicher Komponenten bei einem anderen Hersteller hatte erhebliche technische wie auch wirtschaftliche Nachteile zur Folge. Aufgrund dieser technischen Rahmenbedingungen ist die Beschaffung der herstellerabhangigen Komponenten erforderlich. Die Beschaffung beinhaltet Hard- und Software sowie Wartung.Awards
