Note: the final composition of the vaccine has not yet been determined by the WHO and therefore the Department reserves the right to refuse any offer if the strains do not conform to the WHO recommendations issued in 2011. The vaccine is to be supplied in single dose vials or pre-filled syringes for subcutaneous or intramuscular use. The preservative contained in the vaccine is to be specified. Offers for vaccines containing thiomersal and/or other mercurial preservatives will only be considered if no other acceptable vaccine with an alternative preservative is offered. Tenderer is to submit a separate price (daily rate*) for the adequate storage of the vaccine, that is, the whole quantity ordered by GHPS is to be retained by the tenderer, stored at appropriate storage conditions and is supplied to Floriana Government Dispensary in staggered quantities as requested. Prices will be worked out assuming a storage period of 120 days. GHPS reserves the right to award the contract for the supply of the vaccine only, without availing itself of the services for the storage facilities offered by the respective contractor. The date of arrival of vaccine consignments in Malta must be notified adequately in advance to Government Health Procurement Services so that clearance of the vaccine can occur with the minimum delay possible.Awards
