The water mains to be laid consist of a 400 mm trunk main and 80 mm water distribution mains and house service connections. Apart from the laying of hot rolled asphalt reinstatement over areas of the carriageway disturbed as part of the trenching works covered by this Contract the Contract also includes the laying of hot rolled as asphalt resurfacing along the pipe route over parts of the carriageway which are not disturbed by trenching works.
