GFT-, rest-afval en PMD vindt plaats in mini-, ondergrondse- en rolcontainers. De inzameling van de minicontainers voor gft-afval en PMD geschiedt alternerend (elkaar afwisselend). De inzameling van restafval in minicontainers vindt eens in de vier weken plaats. De inzameling van grofvuil vindt maandelijks plaats. In de gemeente Aa en Hunze maken ca. 10.500 huishoudens gebruik van minicontainers voor het ledigen van huishoudelijk afval. Bijna ieder huishouden heeft een minicontainer voor restafval, GFT en PMD. De minicontainers zijn eigendom van de gemeente en een huishouden heeft deze in bruikleen. Voor de inzameling bij hoogbouw en speciale locaties wordt gebruik gemaakt van ondergrondse containers (eigendom van de gemeente) en rolcontainers (beschikbaar te stellen door opdrachtnemer).Awards
