Op grond van de Wet personenvervoer 2000 is het dagelijks bestuur van de Vervoerregio Amsterdam bevoegd om concessies voor openbaar vervoer op haar grondgebied te verlenen.Het dagelijks bestuur is voornemens de concessie Zaanstreek-Waterland 2024 te verlenen door middel van een openbare aanbestedingsprocedure op grond van Verordening (EG) nr. 1370/2007. Deze aanbesteding volgt op de op 8.7.2020 ingetrokken aanbestedingsprocedure concessie Zaanstreek-Waterland 2022 (PB S: 2020/S 129-317025). Het dagelijks bestuur heeft op 16.12.2020 besloten de aanbesteding verder uit te stellen waardoor de nieuwe concessie in december 2023 zal ingaan en de overbruggingsperiode door middel van een noodmaatregel ex. artikel 5 lid 5 PSO-Verordening twee jaar zal duren.Awards
