Deze instrumenten in bezit van RWS wil RWS de komende jaren in stand houden. Sommige ADCP's zitten al twintig jaar in het Landelijk Meetnet Water en wordt gebruikt voor mobiele metingen door RWS op schepen van de Rijksrederij. De ADCP is met het juiste onderhoud een robuust instrument gebleken. En met een nieuw onderhoudscontract kan het meetnet stroomsnelheid en richting van het water met ADCP's voor vijf jaar vooruit. In de afweging is ook meegenomen dat Rijkswaterstaat van sommige ADCP's een reserve voorraad van 40 % in bezit heeft.Daarmee vervalt de behoefte om de komende jaren te investeren in ADCP's.Awards
