Het FACT is een faciliteit voor industrie en onderwijs waarin praktisch levensmiddelen-technologisch onderzoek wordt uitgevoerd en gedemonstreerd. Het FACT is onderdeel van HVHL Leeuwarden en is uitgerust met state of the art apparatuur die industrie in staat stelt om onder leiding van lectoren (innovatief) onderzoek te doen aan procesoptimalisatie, productontwikkeling enanalyse aan voedingsmiddelen (chemisch, biologisch, rheologisch en sensorisch). In aanvulling kan industrie zelfstandig op de apparatuur in het FACT aan de slag. Het FACT is oktober 2018 geopend en in eerste instantie vooral gericht op vloeibare processen. Nu gaat het een fase in waarin ook de pilot productie van kaas geprofessionaliseerd gaat worden.Awards
