Dit op basis van een samenwerkingsovereenkomst. Hierbij draagt de provincie zorg voor een openbaar aanbod van deur tot deur als aanvulling op het lijngebonden OV. De gemeenten bekostigen het vervoer van personen met een vervoersvoorziening op basis van de Wmo. Sinds januari 2015 heeft de opdrachtgever een contract met een marktpartij voor de uitvoering van de regiotaxi. Naast het rijden van de ritten is deze leverancier ook verantwoordelijk voor het regisseren van de dienstverlening (regierol). Dat houdt in dat zij ook onder andere de ritreservering, ritplanning en de klachtenafhandeling voor hun rekening nemen. De opdrachtgever is voornemens het regiotaxivervoer aan een marktpartij te gunnen. In Noord-Brabant werken de provincie Noord-Brabant en de gemeenten, 's-Hertogenbosch, Sint-Michielsgestel, Heusden, Vught en Boxtel samen ten aanzien van de regiotaxi.Awards
