Gezien de gefaseerde overgang naar de nieuwe systemen is het van belang dat de bestaande beveiligingssystemen worden onderhouden. In de planning DBBS (bekend bij opdrachtverstrekking), zou het systeem van Tyco Fire and Security Nederland B.V. november 2019 overgenomen moeten worden. Omdat de beveiliging van huidige objecten in stand gehouden dient te blijven is nader onderhoud op de huidige installaties benodigd. Wegens intellectuele eigendomsrechten en specifieke technische kennis is dit onderhoud alleen uit te voeren door de marktpartij die dit oorspronkelijk hebben geinstalleerd.
