Matforsorjningen till forskolor, skolor, aldre- och sarskilda boenden samt hemmaboende ombesorjs i kommunen av en Kostenhet, som organisatoriskt tillhor kommunstyrelseforvaltningen. Inom Kostenheten arbetar idag ca 60 personer fordelade pa 22 arbetsstallen. Av dessa 22 finns det forutom kommunens stora produktionskok Navet 19 stycken mottagningskok samt tva mindre tillagningskok vid Haggdanger skola och Brunne skola. Navet forser mottagningskoken i forskolorna, skolorna och boendena med matportioner och bikomponenter (varor fran Navets egen butik), samt matlador till de hemmaboende med beslut om matdistribution. Pa Navet lagar man idag ca 6000 portioner varje vardag. Beraknat arsbehov av respektive produkt framgar av Svarsbilaga: Priser och baseras pa 2017 ars statistikunderlag.Awards
