Materials will be used for asset management including responsive, cyclical and planned maintenance and for new development of housing and community buildings and facilities, commercial and retail buildings, educational buildings, and other related assets and environmental and neighbourhood maintenance and improvements to all related infrastructure. It should be noted that CHIC and Efficiency East Midlands will look to incorporate environmentally friendly products/energy efficient/sustainable products within the tender stage and over the life of the contracts. A list of the materials required and lot structure is detailed at Section II.2.1.The proposed Contracts shall be put in place for a maximum period of ten years from March/April 2011.The following organisations shall be entitled to utilise the Contracts, as required:1. CHIC's partners, members, and their contractors, both current and future;2. Efficiency East Midland's Partners, Members and their contractors, both current and future; and3. Other consortia partners, members and their contractors, both current and future - where consortia are any consortia of organisations of housing landlords and associated organisations and subsidiaries with similar objectives as those of CHIC and EEM, seeking to work collaboratively with CHIC and EEM to access materials supply for the asset investment programmes (existing and new development).This may include any Housing Landlords managing and maintaining affordable rented housing, immediate market rented and shared equity housing, privately rented housing, privately owned housing for specialist housing groups (e.g care homes, student housing, supported housing, hostels) and any related assets which may be registered providers, local authorities, local authority ALMOs, private companies, charities and associated organisations or subsidiaries of the foregoing in the UK, (a full list of current RP's can be found viathe following link - http:// www.tenantservicesauthority.org/server/show/nav.490). As explained at section VI.3(Addtional Information) the ensuing Contracts will be available for access by one or more local authorities,local authority ALMO's, Registered Social Landlords, any other category of Social Landlord and education establishment, or those categories of organisation also listed above.For more information about the clients involved within this procurement please see additional information at Section VI.3.These individual contracts shall be held, managed and supervised by CHIC and EEM and their agent, Valueworks.The organisations listed or referred to above have requirements predominantly within the East and West Midlands, however organisations with stock and interests in other areas of the UK may also utilise these contracts.Awards
