The Council wishes to appoint an operator who can pro-actively grow the operation of markets in Worcester, building from the existing regular market at Angel Place. The operator will be expected to apply innovation and professionalism to the work, and increase customer satisfaction for Angel Place and other market sites. It is anticipated that the operator will open the new Market in Angel Place on 1.12.2014. The Contract will also incorporate the running of the Victorian Xmas Fayre from 2015. Planning will need to commence January 2015. The operator will be responsible for the provision and maintenance of market stalls and ensure that they are kept in a clean and attractive style; management of the allocation of pitches to traders at all markets; collection of pitch fees and fees for electricity consumption; be responsible for having a day to day market manager to supervise the operation of Markets and communication with stall holders; be fully responsible for compliance with all laws, statutes, common law duties and regulations concerning all aspects of operating and managing the markets; be responsible for the cleansing and waste management of market areas when being used; and develop a coherent advertising and marketing campaign for markets in Worcester. The operator will be expected to manage relationships with strategic and local stakeholders.Awards
