The Council is responsible for the care and maintenance of over 40 000 trees on Council land. The tree service ensures that the Council fulfils its duty of care in respect of trees and maintains its tree stock. The maintenance of trees is currently delivered through a contract. The previous contract expires on the 30.6.2013. Trees are one of the most important and defining aspects of the borough and require a very well-managed, high quality and professional approach to achieve the quality results that are expected. The contract includes but is not limited to: Tree Planting, Tree Pruning, Tree Felling, Young Tree Maintenance, Stump Grinding, Basal Growth, Emergency.Awards
