Specifically we are inviting expressions of interest in a contract to deliver additional integrated domestic abuse programme (IDAP) completions on our behalf. IDAP is a nationally accredited programme for men convicted of domestic violence offences, sentenced by a court to complete the Programme as a requirement of their Community order, suspended sentence order or licence. This is a 6 month programme based on the Duluth model comprising of 27 group work sessions, divided into 9 modules. Kent Probation already runs 5 IDAP groups in Medway, Maidstone, Canterbury, Sittingbourne and Thanet with its own experienced staff. Our current annual overall performance target with regard to IDAP is to achieve 68 Completions and we have a current active waiting list of 50. The purpose of this additional provision is to reduce this waiting list by offering more places on the programme than Kent Probation staff alone can provide at 3 additional external venues covering North, Central & East Kent. We are therefore seeking a partner agency to deliver to our requirements. Attendance on IDAP is strictly enforced. Reviews are held regularly with other professionals in order to manage risk, either multi-agency under MAPPA or inter-agency via risk meetings. Women's Safety Workers also make contact with those victims who choose to take up contact and the programme is evaluated and audited by NOMS. Inter-agency professional liaison continues throughout the programme. Each group is supported by 1:1 work undertaken by Kent Probation Offender Managers, alongside regular meetings between IDAP facilitators, Offender Managers and offenders. This is a new 3 year contract, due to commence on 1.5.2012, requiring the delivery of 15-20 integrated domestic abuse programme (IDAP) full Completions for each calendar year of the contract period i.e. 45-60 in total for the period 1.5.12 - 30.4.15. The contract will have a maximum value of 300 000 GBP over the 3 year period. To help to gauge your organisation's suitability to deliver this Programme in line with our requirements, please note that initial selection criteria will include: -- Suitably qualified and sufficient IDAP Facilitators to deliver this quantity of programme completions per year to NOMS standards, -- Adequate knowledge and full commitment to working with domestic abuse perpetrators within the context of the Criminal justice system, and a thorough understanding of the support needs of offenders and victims, -- Ability to deliver, treatment manage & programme manage this accredited programme to offenders under statutory supervision at a range of locations across Kent & Medway, -- Experience of management of Risk of Harm within a multi-agency context.Awards
