Southend-On-Sea Borough Council are inviting experienced and proven individuals or organisations, to tender for the provision of a Passenger Transport Service.There are 37 individual contracts available, some requiring wheelchair accessible transport and / or Passenger Assistants, alongside drivers.The routes vary in size, from one service user, up to routes accommodating 20 service users.Service providers must be able to deliver reliable vehicles and suitably trained drivers and Passenger Assistants and also have the desire to improve the service, in conjunction with both the Council and the service user's needs.Ideally, organisations / individuals will have experience of meeting Critical Performance measures and have, or plan to establish a Southend-on-Sea base.By tendering for these contracts, bidders will also have the opportunity to be for all new routes, if they pass the minimum criteria set out in the contract.Closing date for document requests is 28.6.2013.Completed tenders should be returned by 12 noon 5.7.2013.The contract duration is for 4 years with an option to extend for a further year.Awards
