It is anticipated that students will be interested in a range of levels of language learning including; beginners', preliminary, intermediate, general, professional and advanced. Potential providers must be able to offer provision at these levels. It is anticipated that there will be student demand for modules in French, Spanish, and German across all levels and demand for Mandarin at beginners' level. Potential providers of Modern Foreign Language services must be able to provide these language options. The university will also be interested in tenders that can offer Arabic and Portuguese. Students will be taught either a) in a traditional classroom/language Laboratory environment with an element of online learning if appropriate; or b) through blended learning with a predominantly online component using an established Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which will include some face-to-face tutorial contact. The modules will be delivered at Glasgow Caledonian University, 70 Cowcaddens Road, Glasgow, G4 0BA or in a location in the city of Glasgow accessible to Glasgow Caledonian University students and/or through an appropriate VLE in conjunction with either or both of these geographical locations.Awards
