Super PPGs consist of representatives of the practice based Patient Participation Groups. The groups will be meeting on regular basis (current specification is 2 x year) to share information and discuss current issues affecting the health and wellbeing of the local population as well as local and national services. Through consultations and other engagement the super PPGs are an important body for the Clinical Commissioning Group's public and patient involvement and have the ability to influence decision making and be involved throughout the commissioning process. They also play an important role in the communication between the practice based PPGs and the CCG. This service will consist of delivering two annual super PPG meetings for each consortium in City and Hackney as well as building links with local community to promote the service and encourage participation in particular targeting hard to reach and vulnerable groups such including children and young people, people with a learning disability, people with low literacy skills, people who speak English not well or not at all, people who do not have access to the internet, disabled people, for example people with a sensory impairment any other excluded groups. It is expected that during year two of the contract the organisation facilitating the super PPGs will, through their links with local community groups, be able to help shape these groups into an umbrella organisation. This network of local community groups would then work closely with the super PPGs and the CCG's Patient and Public Involvement Team to ensure wider patient and public participation throughout the commissioning cycle. The community groups would supplement the current engagement structures such as programme board representatives and the PPI Committee. Presently, similar way of working is happening with the CCG's Mental Health Advisory Group. Each practice based PPG (44) will send representatives to the consortia based super PPG meetings. The frequency of the super PPG meetings can be decided between the service provider and the consortia in question, but it is recommended that this is at least x 2 a year. The provider organisation will work together with the CCG and the 44 practices to introduce the new service structure from April 2014 onwards. Initial planning meetings can be arranged to discuss the plan for the year ahead and establish priorities. The contract is for a duration of 2years From: 11/08/2014 To : 10/07/2016Adjudicações
