As part of this agenda Welsh Government is looking to develop a new Welsh ATMP facility in south-east Wales within the M4 corridor, easily accessible to the Cardiff area, airport and rail connections. The facility will be capable of being multi-tenanted to encourage the development of a 'life sciences hub'.An existing building has been identified as potentially available for re-fit to suit the purposes of this project. Initially, one floor of the building will be fitted out to a standard suitable for a range of ATMP processes. These fit-out works will include manufacturing areas up to MHRA Grade B, Grade C, and Grade D along with specialist laboratory spaces (including some non-classified cleanrooms and containment rooms) and ancillary support areas.In line with policy, Welsh Government is seeking to procure appropriate 'design & build' contractors through competition. Welsh Government is seeking tender submissions from capable organisations through this Open Procurement Procedure. The successful organisation will be capable of taking the project forward through the design, construction/installation and commissioning stages and qualifications to OQ stage.Note: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
