The services may include, but will not necessarily be limited to the following:Whilst the construction contractor(s) appointed to the project will be fully responsible for the testing, setting to work and commissioning of their own particular installations, there is considerable interdependency between all the elements. The commissioning manager will support UKCMRI in seeing that the project design, tender documents and construction programme fully incorporate the necessary requirements to ensure that a fully commissioned building is delivered by the contractor(s).Depending on the procurement route selected, the commissioning manager may also be responsible for overseeing the satisfactory commissioning of all the engineering services. The commissioning manager would work with the contractor(s), report to the client representative and liaise with the services engineer to ensure that all commissioning is completed in accordance with the specification, to the commissioning manager's.Satisfaction, and that commissioning reports, data sheets and completion certificates are endorsed and signed off by the services engineer.The total area of the development will be in the order of 57 000 sq m and the approximate construction cost is estimated as being in the region of 350 000 000 GBP (three hundred and fifty million pounds sterling).Awards
