The building on Frenchay campus will house specialist digital engineering facilities, study areas and making facilities accommodating a wider range of engineering disciplines such as composite manufacturing, machining and metrology. The University requires a Cave Automated Virtual Environment (CAVE). The system should offer an immersive, interactive, high-resolution 3D CAVE and be configured as a Turn-Key virtual reality solution for use by staff and students. It should feature 3 rear projected walls and a front projected floor. The system should incorporate tracking hardware/software solutions that allow users movements, actions, gestures to control the virtual environment, allowing objects and data to be visualised in a variety of perspectives. The University requires the full system to be supplied by one provider with proven recent experience of supplying higher education establishments.Awards
