AIR CONDITIONING AND VENTILATION PLANT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR (NORTH) 2. AIR CONDITIONING AND VENTILATION PLANT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR (SOUTH) These Lots are for routine servicing, maintenance and occasional replacement of air conditioning, air handling units, heat pumps and air cooled condensers and fans. a) Service visits, at the specified intervals. b) An on-call breakdown service during normal working hours. c) An out-of-hours call-out service on selected sites. d) Plant replacement where directed and authorised by the Engineer 3. COMMERCIAL BOILER PLANT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR (NORTH) 4. COMMERCIAL BOILER PLANT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR (SOUTH) These Lots are for routine servicing, maintenance and inspection of centralised atmospheric gas, pressure gas, biomass and oil fired boiler plant and associated pumps, controls and ancillaries, gas fired water heaters and cleaning of fan convector heaters. a) Service visits, at the specified intervals, to each plant. b) A soundness gas test of boiler/plant room at time of each service. c) An on-call breakdown service during normal working hours. d) An out-of-hours call-out service on selected sites. e) Plant replacement where directed and authorised by the Engineer. f) Cleaning only of fan convector units. g) An annual soundness test and inspection of the entire gas installation on residential sites. 5. PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF REDBRIDGE (NORTH) 6. PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF REDBRIDGE (SOUTH) Portable Appliance Testing is carried out as a routine to determine whether the equipment is in a satisfactory condition. In-Service testing will involve the following: (a) Preliminary inspection (b) Earth continuity tests (for Class 1 equipment) (c) Insulation testing (Which may sometimes be substituted by earth leakage measurement) (d) Functional checks. 7. WATER HYGIENE AND MIXING VALVES MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR (NORTH) 8. WATER HYGIENE AND MIXING VALVES MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR (SOUTH) These Lots are for carrying out the monitoring and inspection of the hot and cold water services. Carrying out the annual, quarterly and monthly tasks laid out within the Approved Code of Practice and Guidance L8 "Legionnaires Disease". The control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems and provide adequate training to the site staff to carry out the weekly tasks.
