DFID wishes to appoint a service provider (SP) to support its Justice for All Programme in Nigeria (J4A). J4A aims to improve safety, security and access to justice for Nigerians by improving capability, accountability and responsiveness of key organisations in the safety, security and justice sectors. It will build capacity in the police, remand services, courts and anti corruption agencies to ensure better access to justice; equitable results and enhanced effectiveness. It will ensure better cross-sector coordination, linkages and oversight among the different institutions. The contractor will provide technical / advisory assistance, day-to-day management support and oversee implementation of this DFID funded programme (30 000 000 GBP) in Nigeria. The contract will be for 4 years (including a 9-month inception phase) and is expected to start in January 2010. Full implementation will be subject to DFID Nigeria's approval of the inception period and forward work plans for the remainder of the contract.
