In pursuit of this requirement the council may enter into an arrangement with a person to supply such places. The places to be provided will be for children from the day after their third birthday until the end of the academic year prior to them starting primary school and from time to time this may include children for whom entry to primary school has been deferred. At all times, service providers must meet all standards set by the Care Inspectorate and by the Scottish Social Service Council under any relevant guidance or legislation. Service providers will have put in place curriculum and quality assurance standards as required by National guidelines and advice and will be able to evidence and demonstrate their services quality assurance methods. Service providers will provide all such services with full cognisance and implementation of the principles set out in 'Getting It Right for Every Child' and associated guidance and advice. The council reserves the right to alter the requirements of the places to be provided subject to change in legislation or guidance from the Scottish Ministers.Awards
