The Contractor may also be required to undertake 'Discretionary Works' as detailed in the ITT Documents (on or before May 2018) including consultancy services associated with the Works The Contractor must note that the allocation of any 'Discretionary Works' under any Lot Contract awarded following this Procurement Process will be at the entire discretion of the Employer. It must also be noted that in addition to the provision of 'Discretionary Works' within this procurement it will be the Employer's intention to award separate contracts for the provision of Planned Schemes Works [other than Major Works External Cyclical Maintenance (ECMs), which is contained within the 'Core Works' of this procurement] on expiry of the Employer's current contract arrangements for the provision of these works on or before May 2018. The Employer intends to award six Lot Contracts covering 6 Geographical areas within 3 NIHE Regions, to a minimum of three and a maximum of six Contractors, for the provision of the services and associated works. It is the intention of the Employer to award a separate Contract for each Lot, based on geographical boundaries as outlined in the Invitation to Tender documents. Each Region is sub-divided into 2 lots. Each Lot will be the subject of a separate Contract ('Lot') as follows: Lot 1 -- Belfast Region 1 (Lisburn/Castlereagh Area) Lot 2 -- Belfast Region 2 (South and East Belfast Area) Lot 3 -- South Region 1 (North Down/Newtownards Area and South Down Area) Lot 4 -- South Region 2 (South Area (exc. Craigavon), Mid Ulster Area and South West Area) Lot 5 -- North Region 1 (East Area and South Antrim Area) Lot 6 -- North Region 2 (Causeway Area (exc. Coleraine) and West Area) Subject to the terms and conditions set out in this ITT and Lot Contract documents, each Lot Contract will be for a period of 4 years from the date of commencement with an option, at the discretion of the Employer, to extend each Lot Contract for two further periods of 36 months or part thereof. i.e. a maximum of ten years. No Contractor may be awarded more than two of the Lot contracts in total and no Contractor may be awarded more than one Lot contract within any particular Region.Awards
