The facility is managed by dedicated staff with expertise in robotics who will assist other users. The robot will primarily be used for the transfer of micro-organisms from colonies grown on solid agar plates to solid agar plates and from glycerol stocks to solid agar plate. The tender consists of 2 lots detailed below:Lot 1 is for the supply, delivery and installation of a colony pinning robot for use within the High Throughput Screening Facility (HTSF) as specified in Section 3.1 Technical Specification of the ITT document. The robot will be used to transfer microorganism colonies (primarily yeast) from agar plates to agar plates and from agar plates to liquid media and liquid media to agar plates.Lot 2 is for the for the supply, delivery and installation of a colony pinning robot for use within the High Throughput Screening Facility (HTSF) as specified in Section 3.2 Technical Specification of the ITT document. The robot will be used to transfer microorganism colonies (primarily bacteria) from agar plates to agar plates and from agar plates to liquid media and liquid media to agar plates.Awards
