Along with all English Regional Development Agencies One North East will close at the end of March 2012. One North East currently leads on the North East Plugged in Places project but this function will transfer to Gateshead College. Any resulting contract will therefore be with Gateshead College.Plugged in Places EV Charging Infrastructure Management System and Joint Venture Project ("the Project") is seeking a services contract for a second generation electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The infrastructure must have the functionality to integrate with other regional or national infrastructures and low carbon initiatives such as smart grids, smart billing and renewable generation.The Project envisage that its long-term objectives will be best met by the establishment of a joint venture vehicle in which the private sector partner and public sector partner will participate.The joint venture vehicle will deliver the infrastructure services requirement to the College. In order that the Joint Venture is able to maximise business opportunities in this area the joint venture will be on a single supplier framework open to other relevant public bodies. The Framework will offer other contracting authorities Plugged in Places EV charging infrastructure management services, and may also offer EV charging installation works.Subject to discussions with bidders during the dialogue phase, the College may make a capital contribution of up to 500 000 GBP to the joint venture in order to fund the company, the set up of the new service, migration from the existing service provider, any development works and the service delivery costs for the 1st year. Where such a capital contribution is made it is envisaged that the joint venture partner will match the contribution either in cash or in services in kind.Adjudicaciones
