These ancillaries are more often than not surplus to requirements or require disposal. As the organisation within the MoD with the delegated authority to dispose of surplus MoD assets, the Disposal Services Authority is best placed to contract and administer this requirement on behalf of all sites, establishments and organisations that require a furniture disposal solution. Additionally, office ancillaries that are not deemed to be scrap have a residual value and can be sold for further use. This contract would therefore secure some level of financial return back into central funds. An interim 6-9 month contract is therefore required to cover the disposal of this commodity stream whilst a full tender exercise is undertaken.Awards
