The Framework Agreement will cover the Highland Council area and may include journeys to or from points out with the Highland Council area. Individual contracts may include: -- Public bus services varying from once weekly to regular services throughout the week, using minibuses and large buses; -- Public demand responsive transport services using minibuses, taxis or private hire cars; -- Bus, minibus and car/taxi services for home to school transport; -- Minibus and car/taxi services for school pupils with Additional Support Needs; -- Transport from home or school to college; -- Transport for school trips and excursions; -- School meals transport. The estimated value of the Framework Agreement over the Contract Period is in the region of 94 500 000 GBP excluding VAT. Within mini-competitions actioned under this Framework Agreement, there may be circumstances in which the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 will apply. The Framework Agreement shall be 8.2.2016 to 31.1.2020. Individual Contracts established under mini-competitions may have differing Contract Periods and details will be included within specific mini-competition Specifications. The Council reserves the right to action e-Auctions for any/all Routes being tendered within mini-competitions under this Framework Agreement. The Council is committed to contributing to the social, economic and environmental well-being of the wider community. Accordingly the Council has incorporated community benefits into this procurement in accordance with Regulation 29 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulation 2012. A Community Benefit contract condition has been included within the Contract document, and a For Information Only question has been included in the tender documentation.
