The application to be provided shall be required to: Cover basic functionalities Advanced and personalised functionalities (e.g. saving journeys, vehicle details, personal profile). To Calculate the optimal route by taking into account road physical restrictions (Height/Weight/Width), shortest, quickest route. Avoid network restrictions (e.g. LEZ, CC, LLCS, ORN, cycle network) Avoid disruptions (e.g. roadworks, event, incidents). Assessing if destination is affected by: Loading and unloading restrictions Indicate the closest legal stopping point/delivery bay, LLCS, LEZ, CC and prompt a warning message. It shall estimating journey time considering recurrent congestion (AM peak, PM peak, off peak). The Freight Journey Planner shall be complemented by an Interactive Map which should display relevant data including: route, Points Of Interest (POI), restrictions, disruptions (incidents, events, roadworks). Due to the critical timeframe the work shall be undertaken in line with the following timescale. Inception meeting - 28.9.2011 First draft of the routing algorithm - 14.11.2011 Test and finalisation of the routing algorithm - 12.12.2011. Interface development and testing to freight repository and satnav application - 16.1.2012 End user testing - 20.2.2012 Freight journey planner and interactive map launch - 28.2.2012.
