The Project will support businesses within the West Midlands linking foresight and strategic planning directly to technology identification development, adoption and commercialisation. As a result the Project will drive the uptake of baseline technologies and subsequent adoption of new-to-market, new-to-customer and emerging technologies. This will ensure that supported businesses will remain competitive, be able to grow and compete in international markets. The Project will specifically target SMEs within the West Midlands region. Through the Project we aim to support a total of 500 West Midlands SMEs, 275 of are profiled to receive specialist business support. This will need to be achieved by March 2015. Through engagement with the Project, SMEs will be able to reclaim 50 % of the cost of up to 10 days worth of specialist business support (subject to budget availability). Eligible SMEs will be provided with specific assistance to help define their future strategic technology, business orientation and potential technologies that could be beneficial to them to support business growth. This tender opportunity seeks to attract high grade specialist support suppliers, who can engage SMEs and support them to unlock growth potential. In summary, Suppliers will be required to: -- Self-generate consultancy leads (minimum of 5 consultancies per Supplier). -- Complete an initial need analysis and declaration of eligibility to ensure that beneficiary SMEs sourced, are eligible for the Grant funding on offer through the Project. -- Ensure that eligibility information is submitted to CUE Ltd prior to commencement of support, to ensure eligibility of final Grant payment. -- Provide appropriate business support and innovation consultancy to individual beneficiary SMEs of up to 10-days (subject to budget availability) per SME: to support their uptake of new to market and/or new to client technologies in line with identified business growth plans. -- Complete a detailed SME intervention report. -- Complete a business support monitoring, impact evaluation report and contracts manage.
