The Foyer is located at 2 Spring Lane Norfolk Park Sheffield S2 2JQ. Sheffield Foyer provides safe and secure accommodation for young people between the ages of 16 and 25 years. The aim of the project is to help young people acquire the skills necessary for sustained, independent living. During a person's stay at the Sheffield Foyer, staff will help her/him to develop the skills required to survive independently and to help the young person to find employment, training or education advice where appropriate. As the Foyer works with vulnerable young people the guards appointed will be required to show high levels of professionalism and integrity and will be required to undergo extra training and instruction which will be carried out by the Foyer Management team. The Foyer team would also like to be involved in the assessment of any guards that are appointed; this could include attending final interviews with shortlisted candidates. The Foyer accommodation consists of 60 separate units over 3 floors which include 12 units for parent & baby. The block includes additional communal areas with TV, Gym, IT Suite and entertainment areas. There is one main entrance where the security office is located, and several emergency exits located around the building; the property also has car parks and external gardens all of which are monitored by CCTV. Guinness Care & Support staff are on-site from 08:30 to 21:00 Monday to Thursday and from 08:30 to 20:00 on Friday and the security office is staffed from 08:45 to 23:30 Monday to Friday which provides a security and concierge service. The incoming provider will need to supply guards for the hours of 23:00 - 09:00 Monday to Friday and 48 hours at weekends. Cover will also need to be provided for the concierge annual leave, training days and sickness.
