Cheshire East Catering is continuing to develop its provision of high quality, healthy sustainable food to the children in Cheshire East schools. It is the aim of Cheshire East Catering to achieve the Bronze Catermark of the Soil Association's 'Food for Life Partnership' in as many schools as possible. In order to achieve Bronze Cheshire East Catering are required to be serving Farm Assured meat throughout the region. Cheshire East Catering is responsible for the catering in 121. Primary schools and 13 High schools throughout the whole region, this procurement relates to the remaining approx. 38 schools that are not currently receiving deliveries of fresh meat. The period of the contract will be 2 years (April 2012-April 2014) with 2 options to extend, initially for 6 months then for a 1 year period (possible extensions to October 2014 & October 2015).
