In the course of delivering the contract, bidders will be able to take on the Councils Central Nursery site which is a fully equipped plant production facility in Hemel Hempstead which is currently under-utilised and provides other opportunities for expansion. Subject to the progressing beyond the pre-qualification questionnaire stage, Dacorum Borough Council will invite applications from suitably qualified, experienced and properly established and constituted companies and/or groups in respect of: 1. the production and supply (and delivery if required) of plants as described in the plants specification, 2. the rent that would be payable in respect of: 2.1. the Central Nursery site, 2.2. one residential property, 3. how the Central Nursery site would be used in respect of: 3.1. commercial operations, eg. plant production facility etc., 3.2. environmental considerations; eg. impact of site use on the environment, carbon offsetting etc., 3.3. socio-economic matters; eg. interface with local organisations and businesses, local supply chain etc., 3.4. the benefits that could be delivered to the local employment market; eg. use of local labour, training schemes etc.Awards
