Please do not respond to this notice. This will be a framework agreement to provide technical due diligence support to Scottish Enterprise's business Research & Development project funding programme. Scottish Enterprise (SE) support for R&D may be in the form of single company projects or projects with multiple partners. In most cases support will be awarded under SE's R&D Grant programme, in other cases maximum EC state aid rules and percentage aid limits may be applied. In all cases R&D support by Scottish Enterprise is covered by the notified state aid scheme SA.39215 - Scottish Enterprise Research and Development and Innovation Scheme 2014-2020 The SE R&D Grant is a discretionary grant intended to help businesses based in Scotland develop products, processes or services that represent a significant innovation for the applicant company. By offering grant towards the cost of carrying out R&D work (where the work being undertaken fits with the EC (European Community) definitions of Industrial Research and/ or Experimental Development), the R&D Grant will encourage Scotland's businesses to carry out R&D projects that they would not necessarily be able to undertake without this financial assistance or would only be able to undertake at a reduced scope or over a longer timeframe. This will act as an incentive for Scotland's businesses to develop new products/processes that will help them, and the Scottish economy as a whole, to become more sustainable, productive and competitive.
