Firms on the panel will be eligible to provide services across a range of legal subject areas relevant to government. These services will complement the work of the Scottish Government Legal Directorate (SGLD), which manages the outsourcing of all legal work on behalf of the Scottish Government, and remains accountable to the Scottish Ministers for the work done by panel firms. SGLD is responsible for advising all Directorates of the Scottish Government, and the bodies within the Scottish Administration listed below, and panel firms may be called upon to advise any of these directorates or bodies. The framework agreement will also be used, under the supervision and management of the Office of the Solicitor to the Advocate General (OSAG), to source advice on Scots law for UK Government departments, agencies and NDPBs. Applicants will be required to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) which will be used as a means of evaluating which organisations will be invited to tender. Firms which are invited to tender will have the opportunity to bid to provide legal services in the following areas: Lot 1. contract, commercial and corporate; Lot 2. debt recovery; Lot 3. litigation, reparation, employment and inquiries; Lot 4. major projects; Lot 5. property and related matters. Bodies within the Scottish Administration which obtain legal advice from SGLD. Accountant in bankruptcy, HM inspectorate of Education, General Register Office for Scotland, Historic Scotland, National Archives of Scotland, Registers of Scotland, The Rent Officer, Scottish Prison Service, Scottish Public Pensions Agency, Social Work Inspection Agency.
